One man, a red pickup, and one standard.

The son of a first-generation Italian-American, Jimmy Allocco built a company on a lesson from his father: it doesn't matter what profession you choose, so long as you take pride in your work.

The Founder

Jimmy Allocco

Jimmy began his wood-floor career at 23, working for a family member. Two years later — newly married, with a baby at home and only a red pickup truck — he founded Allocco Fine Wood Floors on the belief that pride in the work and respect for the customer would always pay off.

Three decades later that belief still walks every job. The one-man shop has grown into a full-time team of 23 vetted craftsmen — most of whom have been with Allocco for many years — but the standard hasn't moved an inch.

1995

The first floor

Jimmy founds Allocco Fine Wood Floors at 25 — a true one-man shop serving South Nashville one room at a time.

2000s

Word gets around

Referrals from Green Hills, Belle Meade and Brentwood build a reputation for craftsmanship that lasts decades, not seasons.

2010s

Certified & credentialed

The shop becomes an NWFA member and a Certified Bona Craftsman, and partners with The Nature Conservancy on sustainable Tennessee forestry.

Today

23 craftsmen strong

A full-time team of vetted professionals — still owner-led, still no deposit required, still finishing every floor the Allocco way.
